LCLC Awarded Pro Literacy National Book Fund Grant
6/25/26 - The Livingston County Literacy Coalition (LCLC) is proud to announce that it was selected to be a recipient of Pro Literacy's National Book Fund grant for the second time in the past four years. This grant provides funding to purchase adult literacy materials from Pro Literacy's highly respected publishing arm: New Readers Press. Along with many more copies of the general ESL tutoring book that is provided as part of our free tutor training, this grant allows us to further expand our tutoring resource library as well.
Thanks to this grant, we will not only be able to purchase additional copies of some our most popular resource books but also some new titles that our tutors will be able to use to provide more specific assistance to our lower and higher level ESL learners. We are deeply thankful to Pro Literacy for both their commitment and their continued support as we seek to further pursue our mission and vision.

LCLC will use the grant funds to strengthen and expand its volunteer tutor program, which is at the heart of the organization's mission to empower adults through literacy. Funding will support the recruitment, training, mentoring, and ongoing professional development of volunteer tutors, helping ensure that our cherished learners continue to receive high-quality, individualized instruction.
