Cesar came to the United States hoping to continue his nursing career. With support from an LCLC volunteer tutor, he strengthened his English, built confidence and reached an exciting new milestone.

Two adult English learners started with ABC letter recognition. More than a year later, they're reading, writing, discussing idioms, and building confidence through LCLC's volunteer tutoring program.

LCLC joined Community Connect 2026 in Brighton to share free adult literacy and English tutoring opportunities with Livingston County residents and connect with potential volunteer tutors.
